ABOUT
Fourteen years after I hit my first golfball on the driving range at Gripsholms GC, I finally won my first professional tournament. I earned my first victory in June of 2014 when the Ladies European Tour visited Slovakia. I remember it like it was yesterday. I woke up on the morning of the final round and felt really calm. I managed to stay that way through out the day and, with a bogey free minus six (-6) in the final round, I won by four strokes. My dream came true.
This would not have been possible without the influence and help from my current and former coaches, the Swedish Golf Federation, the University of Alabama where I studied and played college golf for four years, and my parents and sponsors.
In the future, I want to play on the LPGA tour in America, represent Europe in the Solheim Cup, and play in the Olympics, where golf is finally one of the sports competing for a gold medal.
There are so many things I love about the game of golf. My strength coach often starts my workouts by saying
"I have been thinking Camilla, you have the best job in the world.” I could not agree more. I get to travel the world almost all year round, play good competitive golf at great courses, and make new friends in many different countries.
